In love with my Imse Vimse Swim Diapers…

I had one swim diaper that I got when my oldest started getting on the water at 6 months old to save money. I would always use that diaper under her bathing suit (it wasnt cute enough to be uncovered), and when I needed, I would use disposables swimming diapers… By that time, I was a full time disposable diaper user, which Im 100% was because nobody ever mentioned me cloth diapers… That same cloth swim diaper was used by my second daughter, and then my third daughter. However, it was not working fine with my third daughter. My first two daughters were very chubby, however my youngest is very skinny… It was too bulky to put it under her tiny bathing suits, and it was too ugly to use it by itself (Ok, I have to be fair, it was not *that* ugly… I just think that it may have looked better on a boy). Anyway, I was planning a weekend away, plus a 7 days vacations the following week with my hubby and girls, so I decided to order a couple of Imse Vimse swimming diapers from Kelly’s Closet and get a top for them.. .They looked soooo cute that I didnt want to cover them!! We decided to get a solid red and a Turquoise Sea Animals, both in size large. My daughter is very skinny and …

A house full of girls, a house full of dolls

I have three daughters, and it is not a secret how much they love dolls. I seriously lost count of how many we have in this house. Playing “mommy” is something that they all have been doing way before they could talk, and my middle girl was burping and feeding her dolls even before she could walk. Teaching my daughters about things that I strongly believe is very important to me. I want them to grow and be able to make their own decisions, but I want them to BELIEVE in those decisions, and do not make those decisions just to go with the flow, or because they look “normal” for the majority. Im not a big cooker. I just don’t feel a big ‘passion’ for cooking. However, no Baby Food company can expect to survive at my expense. My girls ate homemade baby food since they started having solid foods. It is important to me that my girls learn how I feel about homemade baby food VS commercial baby food. We got them a kitchen for Christmas, and they “cook” to their babies, and we try to teach them how important it is to know where the food you are feeding your baby is coming from. I know they hardly understand this YET, but I strongly feel that never is too early to start teaching your kids those things …

… and then there was SAND and SUN!

When Kelly sent me the photos for her “Then there was snow” post, I couldnt help but to remember ONE-MORE-TIME, that I dont miss the snow. I do wish my girls could play from time to time on the snow, and then to have the snow melted after playtime (Yeah, right). Last Saturday, with a temperature of 87 F, I went to the beach with my family. Yes, the beach. One of the perks of living in the Caribbean is that you get to be able to go to the beach all year long. Off to the beach we went, and my girls got to play with SAND instead of SNOW. We are still in Winter, but the Caribbean winter is certainly very different to the winter at Kelly’s town. Here are some of the photos, and I honestly hope you get some WARM vibes your way at the second you look at these photos… Here is my oldest daughter: My two youngest: Here is hubby and me after the beach.. You can see how red our faces are: This is a link to the post from my blog.
