I like one-size, pocket styles with snaps. My favorite has to be Katydid, the fabric and colors are great. I really want to try a few new style like the Flip and the Knickernappies one-size side snap.
I also like the Dream-Eze all in one because it is trimmer in between the legs for my daughters chubby thighs. Easy for my husband to use and fits nicely across the waist with the side snaps.

Order Date: 11/10/2010
Ordered some more diapers for my new baby!

Catherine said...

I would pick the imse vimse fitted all in ones. They are not the easiest to dry or the trimmest, but they NEVER leak. I would love it if you guys could start carrying them. I got 3 secondhand and I am in LOVE but no one carries them. Seriously I am begging here, I will have to buy the smaller sizes with my next baby and the only place I see them is their website.

I haven't had a chance to try out all of the diaper brands and styles I am interested in because we just started in September with our newborn and have only made it through prefolds & fitteds with Thirsties Duo Wraps. Which we love...but I am really interested in the Bum Genius 4.0's - I want our older baby stash to be snaps and one-size!

If I could only choose one brand and style of diaper I would go with BG 4.0's in snap. Even thought they're more expensive, I love the ease and look of pocket diapers. I love that the new BG now have snaps so they're more durable and that the elastic is easily replaced. Since I plan to cloth diaper many children (we have 2 now but want a large family) durability is a must for me!

I'm still pregnant with my 1st, but have always wanted to cloth diaper and am trying to learn as much as possible before I buy our stash. Would it be a good idea to have multiple kinds? It seems like everyone has a different favorite for each situation... My hubby is resistant to CDing, but if it's easy I think he'd be on board.

bueford2 said...

We use the AIO's and pocket diapers mainly. I think it is easiest for all to use and we love bumgenius! They are easy to launder and my husband is even comfortable cloth diapering now. (We started about 6 weeks ago). Since we just started we are trying to add to our stash and my new found "fluff" addiction :)

DiaperShops.com -- Which rash cream would you recommend for someone battling diaper rash? Is there one that you consider a "miracle cream" that is cloth diaper-safe?

@LoveBugsMamax3

Melissa said...

If I had to pick one style/brand of diaper it would probably be BG. Even though I hate the Aplix (we have the old 3.0 before they started offering snaps), they just work and we rarely have leaks. Though I would LOVE to try the new 4.0 w/snaps... but can't justify it since my boys are nearing the PT stage (hopefully starting in earnest next month!).

My pick of one diaper would be Sustainablebabyish snapless multi. It's one-size, so can be used a long time, and absorbent - and also so stretchy I can put a ton in there for nighttime - or have only one doubler in there for daytime. And I can still play around with cuteness with different covers and wool!

If that's cheating because I'd need covers to go with it, I'd pick a BumGenius Elemental - especially now that it's in prints! Easy on the go, my husband can handle it, the babysitters are fine with it, and it works great for hours, and fits for many many months.
