I'm using powder tide and so far the horrible ammonia smell I had when using tide free liquid is gone. I'd like to try a specific cd friendly detergent though!

I used to use Country Save and was pretty happy compared to what i had used before, but still had some microfiber smell issues. I'm now on my first full bag of Classic Rock and after a soak it seems to be keeping the smell away :) I will definitely be trying Hard Rock next.

I am currently using Rockin' Green classic rock to wash my diapers! I love Rockin' Green so much... it gets out smells and leaves my diapers smelling like nothing :) ! I like it so much I started using it for most of my laundry (I am working towards using it on all of my laundry. I need to use up the other detergent I have before I go all Rockin' Green for all our laundry needs. Oh why did I have to stock up on that other detergent b4 I tried Rockin' Green !).

I use Charlie's Soap. The results are "so-so." The soap seemed to work fine at first, but now my daughter has a diaper rash that we can't seem to get on top of. We've been having problems since moving to a new house, so I'm thinking that I need something that works better in hard water.

anniem514 said...

Right now I use seventh generation free and clear, but I just found out I shouldn't be washing my diapers in anything free and clear! I just had to strip all of them because they had an amonia smell and now I need a new detergent! I thought I was doing something good by using free and clear! I have been happy with how clean my diapers are and I like that there are no added frangrances, but I'm not too happy about the smell issue.

Lindsey said...

I've been using Planet of late, and I'm not sure if it's my water or the detergent, but I'm not very impressed. Before that I had the same feeling about Charlie's.

I use Rockin Green Soap already and I am happy with it. It works well and comes in the best scents!

I've been using Rockin'Green Classic Rock and I've been really happy with it! I'm already using less detergent than I used to use with commercial brands plus my towels and clothes are coming out of the wash much softer and fresher smelling than they used to. It even got rid of the stiff deoderant stains in the armpits of my hubby's undershirts! I've used it since I started cloth diapering a month and a half ago and I've yet to deal with any stinkies, stains, or repelling issues.

I cannot wait to try out the new Hard Rock formula and I'm aching to see what her new natural scents are too!

All Free and Clear. I am just OK with it. When It is gone I am trying Rockin' Green. Because one place says All Free and Clear is fine to use another says to Avoid it. This is my biggest frustration with cloth diapers. Some say yes to stuff and others say NO! I just don't know who to believe!

I would love to try Rockin Green, I've heard great things about it.

We are now using Biokleen. This is only the third wash we have used it in, but it seems to be fine. Previously we were using Tide Original and then switched to Costco detergent. The Costco brand gave my son an all over body rash, more severe in the diaper area where the diaper was wet and close to his skin. After switching to Biokleen we have had no problems.
