We've used cloth when traveling & staying with relatives that would let us use their washer/dryer. We've also tried gDiapers on a shorter vacation in a hotel. And, we've used disposables before too. So really a variety!

As long as I have access to laundry facilities, I just use cloth when traveling. Otherwise, I suppose I would use disposables.

I actually just tried gDiapers for the first time during a weekend trip and LOVED them! We flushed the inserts. The only thing we had to worry about cleaning was the wipeable, easily cleaned plastic liner (I handwashed in the hotel sink with soap). We never had to wash the cloth gpants while we were traveling–they stayed clean the whole time. (We rotated 3 pairs.) We will totally use these again when we go somewhere with limited/no access to laundry!

Depending on how long my trip is or where i am going. if a long weekend and driving, I will bring my cloth diapers, a mixture on AIO/pockets/prefolds. If travelling for more than 4 days, or via plane, I will use disposables.

I actually use either cloth, if it's a short trip (like a weekend) or gdiapers if it's a week long or more trip.
G-diapers were my original intro to anything cloth, so I really truly <3 them.
Just last week they were king enough to send me velcro to replace on my g-pants so they'll be good as new this weekend : )

We are going to use cloth diapering when our baby arrives in Dec, but as for what we will do while traveling…I'd like to say we will stick with the cloth diapers, especially if we have access to a washing machine on our travels. The type of diaper system I use depends on where I am traveling to and how long I will be gone. I generally use disposables when we travel, however, I am relatively new to cloth diapering and plan to cloth diaper whenever I can when we travel from now on. I will use the cloth diapers I already have, which include bumGenius, Fuzzi Buns, and Smartipants. I wouldn't mind trying gDiapers as well!

I typically use 7th Generation disposables when I travel, mostly to save room when packing (2 kids in diapers!). I've been wanting to try gDiapers, but I've been hesitant to spend the money in case it doesn't work for me.

We decide on which diapering system depending on where we travel–if we are in a hotel that is like Residence Inn (has washer/dryer capabilities) or staying at a friend's or relative's house, we will bring cloth diapers. I have used a combination of my cloth and disposables on a recent trip. We had a washer and dryer in our hotel room so it made it convenient to wash the diapers whenever I needed to. The disposables I used as a supplement for the times when I needed a break from washing.

Mondays entry: When we were on our week trip washing teh diapers turned out to be not a problem at all! The place we were staying had a coin laundry in a closet upstairs! I just rinsed them in the tub in our room to cut out one wash cycle since there were others that were using the washer as well then washed as usual. I ended up startling the lady who lived behind the washer cause she thought I was someone else. When she saw me switching the laundry she saw that I was washing diapers. She was really interested in them and asked lots of questions. She was pregnant at the time. We developed a friendship and still keep in contact!

We've used different option while traveling. It depends on how long we'll be gone & if there is washer/dryer access. We're traveling over Christmas this year & will most likely just use cloth with a few disposable inserts in gDiapers & Flip.

Daily Post: I use cloth while traveling as long as I can do laundry somewhere. We don't usually travel for too long or too far away, so it has worked so far. My two sisters use cloth also, so they would certainly let me wash at their houses.

I love that you can use the biodegradable inserts when you need them and cloth inserts when you dont so you can keep gdiapers in rotation with the rest of your stash! I'd hate to spend money on a diaper that is ONLY used for travel. I'd probably just buy disposables.

If we're going to family, I just bring my diaper pail, a kitty litter cantainer with a snug fitting lid and we go. I usually pull the clean diapers out of the dryer and fold and stuff while my husband drives. A few times when we've been away from a washer, I'll just switch to disposables, but my daughter doesn't seem to care for them as much!

My husband prefers to use disposables on trips because he thinks it's easiest. I personally prefer to stick with the cloth if possible (talking to the person about using their washer ect.) but if it's not possible nothing beats flushing the gdiapers, they leave no smell of poop in the house either as a bonus!!

I used gdiapers with flushable inserts on a 4 day trip and they worked great! On shorter trips, I just usually bring my cloth diapers and a large wetbag. However, gdiapers with cloth inserts are great for traveling as they take up lots less space in the wetbag.

  464. We did not start useing cloth until our son was already a year old, and he is 16 months now. We travel often and we use gDiapers but instead of the flushable insert (which can get expensive) we use gerber prefolds. I cut them to the right size and have sewn the edges to keep them intact. When we are out I just stick the dirties into a big ziplock and wash them when I get home or if gone more than overnight I go to a laundry mat.

gDiapers create less waste and are more biodegradable than disposables with the abilities to only have to clean as much as underwear. – great alternative for those on the cloth fence (or with significant other who are) and for outside the home.
