My baby is due today! Who know when he or she will make an entrance, though. I don't expect a large baby. Anyway, of the diapers I have purchased, I plan to use the newborn Proraps and flat diapers first. They seem to be the smallest/least bulky of the combinations I have. If the baby is bigger than I expect, or when it grows a bit, I have infant size prefolds and Thirsties x-smalls.

our first diapers, 10 years ago, were prefolds and flats with pins to put in the gerber plastic pants. i still love prefolds, but I HATE the plastic pants. they're awkward, bulky, loud, and leave red marks on babylegs. :-( Hence I'm egads excited about this giveaway.

We tried Kushies AIOs first… they worked well for the first year, but we didn't know how to care for them and they smelled, cracked, and leaked sometimes… eventually we were using the AIO under a thirsties cover! Now we're CD "experienced" (not experts) and favor BG 3.0 os and fuzzi bunz, and the occasional thirsties AIO!

The first diaper I came home with was the Bum Genius All In One. I was hooked, of course. I also had some Kissaluvs and a Happy Heiny in my bag of fluff. i only wish the person who had sold them to me, had told me that you need to wash diapers a few times before they reach maximum absorbency! I had so many leaks. If the dipes hadn't been so darn cute, I would've given up!!! Luckily I didn't. My daughters eczema completely cleared on her thighs and that made me a true beleiver in cloth.

I've never used cloth diapers, but I am preparing for our baby who will be here in November. I am really excited about All-In-One diapers. I guess they are the ones that I understand the best currently πŸ˜‰ but I do have a cousin that is going to give me a diaper tutorial soon πŸ˜€ I'm very thrilled about the baby and choosing an economic and ecology friendly option for diapering our baby.
