We still use the regular drugstore variety rash creams with a flannel liner when we need to. It works well, but thankfully Seth gets much fewer rashes in cloth than in disposable :)

I had very little rashes with DS #1 and when I did I mainly used Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment. DS #2 seems to be more rash prone but after switching from prefolds to pockets, mainly FB that have fleece, his rashes have been less frequent and with him I have used only Aquaphor ointment. I love the NE descriptions and just might have to place an order if I don't win this week :)

Before my baby was mobile, I used to lay her down on a towel for a little while to let her air out. If only it were that easy now!!

After fighting diaper rash since my son was in the NICU (for 52 days) as soon as we switched to cloth at home the diaper rash went away!

I tried today putting a bit of shea butter on my son's rash and letting it soak in before I put his diaper on. I don't know if it works, but I'm crossing my fingers.

using wool, especially overnight, really helps clear up rashes.

I use a little extra warm water on my cloth wipes to rinse off poo and then dab gently with a clean prefold to completely dry the area before I put another diaper on. I find if I am too vigorous in trying to clean the area, it makes the redness worse (and it must not feel very good for baby!)...

Fortunately cloth diapering has been great with no massive rashes. If there is a little red I'll use some Naturally Luxe Organic Healing Balm. It's made with organic lanolin, a list of other benefitial oils and some lavender and rosemary EOs. It also works great on winter heels :-)

We only get rashes when we use disposables-- then we use Burt's Bees, which works great!

Love this package!!! Since I'm still fairly new in my CDing, I don't have any tricks up my sleeve! I still have a few of my 'sposies left, and so I switch back over night with my favorite "budreaux's butt paste." Usually by morning it's clear, and we go back to cloth. I'd love to find/use some CD friendly products!

I have bought something from Farmsteadorganics called Benji's balm that is great at preventing diaper rash. Just put it on after every change and no diaper rash.

I have also used Burt's Bees. Does anyone know if this is safe for cloth diapers? (I have bought it because it is easily in stock at the grocery store)
